When a relationship ends, it can lead to cordial friendship, animosity, or something in between the two. Prince Harry and his ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas have elected civility.

Bonas was invited to watch Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle and happily attended, but there was one thing that worried her about going.

Bonas, an actress, told The Spectator, “Friends are starting to get married, which means the dilemma of British wedding attire. Hats. Why do I find hats so tricky? Tricky to wear, tricky to look at and extremely tricky for the poor soul sitting in the pew behind.”

It’s not the gimmicky reveal that would be expected from the ex-girlfriend of the Prince of England. However, Bonas said she was troubled with picking proper headgear for the royal ceremony.

“Most of the time I avoid headgear,” Bonas said. “This can prompt disapproving looks from the older generations. Last weekend I attended the royal wedding. The invitation clearly stated that guests must wear hats. Yikes.”

Bonas dated Prince Harry for two years and ended things in 2014 after they were introduced by his cousin Princess Eugenie.

Also in attendance at the royal wedding was Chelsy Davy, another one of Harry’s ex-girlfriends.

Apparently, both relationships ended due to the immense public attention and criticism they received while dating Harry.

Back in 2011 when Prince William married Kate Middleton, he also invited some of his ex-girlfriends including Rose Farquhar, Olivia Hunt, Arabella Musgrave, Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe (Bona’s half-sister) and Jecca Craig.
