Rumors are spreading that Prince William and Prince Harry will have secret cameo roles in the next chapter in the Star Wars franchise.
In an interview with BBC Radio 4, Jedi star John Boyega dropped a big hint. “I’ve had enough with those “I’ve had enough with those Prince William secrets, man… They came on set – they were there, man,” the actor said. “Tom Hardy was there, too. I said it. I’m sick of hiding this.”
The princes took a tour of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi set in April of 2016. They visited production workshops and met with the creative teams behind the upcoming film. “I think…someone leaked it or something and then there was an image or some sort…every time I get asked I don’t know how to dodge it. Yeah, they were on set,” Boyega said.
Reports guess that the princes will play Stormtroopers, and so have their identities completely hidden by the costumes. In the past, Prince William has admitted that he’s a “total geek” about the franchise. Harry and William even engaged in a fun lightsaber duel when they visited the set. “I think they took that scene out,” joked Boyega of the moment.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set for release on Dec.15.
