Prince Harry and Meghan Markle donned N95 masks and gloves to deliver food to Los Angeles residents in need last week.
The couple gave out food two different days last week, including on Easter Sunday, by volunteering with Project Angel Food. They donated a week’s worth of perishable meats and three week’s worth of shelf stable foods. Since the coronavirus pandemic began, the company has seen a large increase in calls, CEO Richard Ayoub told CNN. He said most of the people who use the service are too sick to leave their homes.
Harry and Meghan have started their own charity, called Archewell, since leaving their royal duties officially on March 31. Project Angel Food is one of the first charities the couple has backed since moving to Los Angeles.
