Prince Harry Apologizes For Vegas Scandal, Kind Of

Prince Harry, 28, has apologized for last August’s scandal, in which he was photographed nude while partying in Las Vegas shortly before he was to be deployed to Afghanistan.

"It was probably a classic example of me probably being too much army, and not enough prince. It's a simple case of that," he said during an interview at his military base in Afghanistan.

While Harry took responsibility for his behavior, he added that he was not in public and thus his privacy should be respected. "At the end of the day I probably let myself down, I let my family down, I let other people down," he said. "But at the end of the day I was in a private area and there should be a certain amount of privacy that one should expect."

Prince Harry isn't just concerned about his privacy either. With his niece or nephew on the way, he also has concerns about the privacy of sister-in-law Kate Middleton. "I just only hope that she [Kate] and him [Prince William] – but mainly Catherine – hopefully that she gets the necessary protection to allow her as a mother-to-be to enjoy the privacy that that comes with," he said. "I seriously hope that's going to be able to happen."

The Ministry of Defense revealed Monday that Prince Harry is currently returning from his five month tour in Afghanistan where he served as an Apache helicopter pilot in the Army Air Corps. On killing Taliban members from the cockpit of his helicopter: "Take a life to save a life," the prince said. "That's what we revolve around, I suppose. If there's people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we'll take them out of the game."
