Prince George turned three on Friday. Photographer Matt Porteous went to the Duke and Duchess’ Norfolk, England, home to capture some candid moments from the celebration and the young prince who possesses more sartorial style than most grown men.
The official Instagram account of Kensington Palace released the photos on Friday. Porteous managed to capture a relaxed and playful atmosphere and lots of greenery. The photos feature simple moments, free of the glitz of royal life. For the occasion, Prince George wore a smart striped beige sweater with a charming blue whale emblazoned across the chest. A fitted collared shirt underneath and gray shorts completed the birthday boy’s look.
Fussy, but still adorable.
Porteous also captured a lovely moment between the barefooted prince and Lupo, the family’s dog, on a picnic blanket. Other photos show a smiling Prince George on top of a wooden swing.
