On Friday, the Prince of Wales visited a Royal Mail delivery center to thank those who work in the postal industry for all their hard work during the pandemic, which saw a rise in delivered packages and orders broke records this Christmas season. He even got face-to-face with a man dressed as Santa Claus and an elf.
Prince Charles even got his hands dirty and learned how to sort mail from postman Mark Messer. “It’s very difficult, isn’t it?, the royal asked Messer.
Late that day, Prince Charles also visited the Corinium Museum, an archaeology museum, in Cirencester. He received a tour of the new galleries on the prehistory of the Cotswolds.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that London and south-east England will enter a tier 4 lockdown, non-essential shops, hairdressers, restaurants and theaters are closed once again due to the new strain of COVID-19 found in the U.K.. All citizens must stay home and are not allowed to meet up with anyone not in their household. This means that unless they live together, families are not permitted to meet in person and celebrate Christmas and New Years holidays this year.
