Prince Charles made the first royal public appearance since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah aired on Sunday night. The Prince of Wales visited Skipton House to meet and thank NHS and MOD staff involved in the COVID-19 vaccine rollout on Tuesday.
When entering the building, a reporter asked what he though of his son and daughter-in-law’s interview. He only smiled, not responding to the reporter’s question.
During a speech made at the pop-up vaccine center, Prince Charles mentioned the impact the pandemic has had on the black community.
“We are all immensely proud of the role black majority churches play and it is of course a profound sorrow to me to know that black communities have been hit particularly hard by this pernicious virus,” he said.
He only discussed the vaccine rollout and the work they were doing at the clinic.
“I can only wish you every possible success as you promote and facilitate the take up of this essential vaccine that is so utterly vital to our community,” said Prince Charles.
Prince Harry mentioned during the interview that his relationship with his father had been strained and that at one point, Prince Charles refused to take his calls.
