ABC‘s Pretty Little Liars wrapped up its sixth mid-season finale, where they finally revealed who “A” is on Tuesday night. The episode “Game Over, Charles” answered the questions that not only characters Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer were pondering, but pretty much anyone who ever watched a PLL episode: Who is “A” and why do they love tormenting people so much?

SPOILER ALERT: ‘PLL’ REVEALS WHO ‘A’ IS

After five long years of confusion, countless deaths, cliff hangers and long hiatuses, the PLL fandom now know who “A” truly is. Since season one of the show, many fans have come up with all types of theories of whom the mysterious “A” might be, but now the speculations are over— for now at least. The summer finale revealed that “A” is no other than CeCe Drake, played by Vanessa Ray. CeCe, who was born Charles DiLaurentis, explained that she loved her sister Alison and that she never meant to drown her when she was a baby.

“#CeCeIsA here we go bitches!” Tweeted Ray.

Not only did last night’s episode revealed that CeCe was “A,” but it also revealed who killed Toby’s mom, Mrs. Cavanaugh, who ‘Red Coat’ was, and so many other secrets throughout the series. PLL was already picked up for season seven, but Marlene King, the executive producer of Pretty Little Liars, told Variety that she’s open for season eight and possibly a movie about the popular series. “I think we’ll let the fans tell us what they want. We’re open to that,” King responded after asked about another season. “I’m all for it. Yes, we’re in.”

Some fans on Twitter joked that the big reveal of “A” was a waste of five years, and that the show didn’t really answer all of their questions as they promised they would—again, leaving the fans hanging for another long hiatus.

Some fans are still wondering where Toby, Ezra, and Caleb disappeared to.
