Pressure Mounts On ‘Fed Up’ King Charles To Disown Prince Andrew After New Revelations About Contacts With Jeffrey Epstein
New filings have presented emails allegedly sent from Prince Andrew to Jeffrey Epstein that reveal Andrew’s extended contact with the late convicted sex offender, despite his previous claims he had cut contact.
In one email, Andrew tells Epstein, “We’ll play some more soon!!!!”
Experts on the British royal family reported that everyone is waiting with bated breath to see how the bombshell announcement will affect the royal family as King Charles is supposedly “fed up” with his younger brother’s antics.
British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News, “Prince Andrew is pining for his previous life, although he is lucky that he can throw himself into the proud grandfather role…The royal family and the few friends he has left are sadly burdened with the negative fallout.”
In a BBC News Night interview from November 2019, Andrew claimed that he had not been in contact with Epstein since 2010 when he and Epstein had been photographed walking in Central Park. Andrew later described his meeting with the sex offender as the “wrong decision.”
He told BBC, “I went to see him…and I was doing a number of other things in New York at the time and we had an opportunity to go for a walk in the park and that was the conversation coincidentally that was photographed… Which was when I said to him, I said, ‘Look, because of what has happened, I don’t think it is appropriate that we should remain in contact.’”
Andrew continued, “And by mutual agreement during that walk in the park, we decided that we would part company, and I left; I think it was the next day, and to this day, I never had any contact with him from that day forward.”
However, the BBC reported that the recently revealed email was sent in February 2011.
As Andrew has steadily become the least popular member of the British family, there has been building pressure on Charles to disown his brother. However, Charles is still financially supporting Andrew and is supposedly cautious of the optics of disowning Andrew and how that will affect his reputation and that of the royal family. Last year, Charles tried – no avail – to evict Andrew from his $38 million home, Royal Lodge.
