On Monday, First Lady Melania Trump underwent kidney surgery. While President Donald Trump was not there the during the surgery, he came to visit her afterwards while she was recovering.
After his visit, he tweeted that she was recovering well and “will be leaving hospital in 2 or 3 days.”

The First Lady is currently recovering at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The White House sent a release stating there have been no complications following the procedure. No further details were released, as she asked for privacy on her condition.
The next day, Trump gave a speech at the annual Peace Officers Memorial Service on Capital Hill, he started off by assuring everyone that the First Lady is doing well. “Melania is in the hospital doing really well,” Trump said. “She’s watching us right now.”

He then praised the medical staff at the Walter Reed Hospital for taking care of his wife. “And I want to thank the incredible doctors,” he says. “They did a fantastic job. So thank you, and she sends her love.”
