Post Malone Shares His Secret To 60-Pound Weight Loss – Quitting Sugary Soda

Post Malone shared that he lost 60 pounds while on Joe Rogan’s podcast. His secret to his transformation, which fans noticed earlier in the year, was cutting soda out of his diet.

“Soda is so bad. It’s so good but so bad,” Malone shared with Rogan.

He confessed that once in a while he allows himself to have a cheat day and indulge in the sweet beverage. “[If] I had a great show, and you know what, I’m feeling a little bit naughty. I’m gonna have myself a Coke on ice,” he revealed.

Throughout the interview, the two men spoke about a myriad of topics, including Malone disclosing that he used to weigh 240 pounds but is now down to 185.

Rogan made it clear that he fully supports Malone’s decision but also clarified that he also endorses a more moderate approach. “The problem is when people [drink soda and other sugary beverages] all day every day your body doesn’t know what to do with that sugar because it’s so unnatural,” he said. “The key to those things is every now and then, you know?”

He continued, “Every now and then you reward yourself with a Coca Cola and you’re like, ‘Ah, this is nice.’ Your body never gets that sugar in the wild. You get sugar in fruit. When you have a glass of sugar water, it’s pouring right into your bloodstream. Your body is like, What the f— is this?”

“I wanted to say that I’m not doing drugs, I’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and I’d suppose, performance on stage,” he wrote. “I’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier. I guess dad life kicked in and I decided to kick soda, and start eating better so I can be around for a long time for this little angel.”
