Porsche & Boeing Team Up To Develop the World’s First Ever Flying Car [Photos]
On Friday, Porsche announced that it would be teaming up with Boeing to develop the world’s first flying electric car. The German automobile manufacturer and multinational U.S. aircraft corporation, are on a mission to “explore the premium urban air mobility market and the extension of urban traffic into airspace.”
The project is still in its early stages but the pioneering companies are expecting to build 22 million electric cars over the next decade. They have already built a prototype of the self-driving flying car that is 30-feet long and 28-feet wide and can fly up to 50 miles at a time.

With Porsche having a net worth of about $12.4 billion and Boeing making $100 billion in profits in 2018, there is no doubt that the companies are monetarily equipped for this new venture. It is only a matter of time to see if the bohemiths will also achieve an even greater level of invention and safety in the next 10 years. The technological aspects of the project are the most important, but remain a challenge.
