On tonight’s episode of America’s Got Talent, the judges and audiences are in for a treat – as is the dog about to blow them away.
A dog named Hero and his owner, Sara, performed a choreographed pirate-themed fight on the most recent episode of the amateur performance show. Besides the praise from the audience, all the judges, including the hardest to please, Simon Cowell, loved the act.
In the video, previewed by UsWeekly, Cowell asks Sara what she would do if she won the show’s million-dollar prize. “Honestly, I would use the money to show people how to train their dogs with positive reinforcement and have fun with them,” the contestant said.
The two then began their act. Set to music reminiscent of Pirates of the Caribbean, Hero twirled and jumped all over the stage, at times appearing to be leading Sara, and not the other way around.
The five-year-old dog particularly shocked judges Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Mel B, Cowell, and host Tyra Banks, when he jumped over a sharp sword several times unharmed.
By the end of the performance, the crowd and the judges were on their feet.
It isn’t the first time the judges have thoroughly enjoyed a dog routine. Earlier this month, a dog named Mia Moore entertained judges by counting to numbers randomly assigned to her. She was first asked to count to four which she did with ease. Cowell, the provocateur that he is, then asked her to count to sixteen which she indeed did without any hesitation.
