Pippa Middleton, the one and only aunt to Prince George, gifted the newborn’s parents, her sister Kate Middleton and Prince William, with silver sculptures of the youngest royal’s hands and feet.

The keepsake gift, thought by some to be slightly creepy, likely cost Middleton roughly $11,000, reported the Daily Mail. The bespoke mementos, were reportedly made by London company Wrightson and Platt. In order for the casts to be made, Prince George would have had his hands and feet placed in an organic jelly-like mixture for just 30 seconds.

Testimonials on Wrightson and Platt’s website are glowing, and are ascribed to high-class clientele:

“I am so happy I asked you to make casts of all my newborn babies’ feet,” said fashion designer Stella McCartney. “The casts are beautiful and they are one of my most precious belongings.”

Prince Manuel of Bavaria wrote, “For capturing a precious moment forever, these little masterpieces are truly an heirloom.”

For the christening on Oct. 23 at the Chapel Royal at St. James Palace, Middleton wore a custom designed Italian wool coat and blush pink dress by Suzannah Crabb. Neither she, nor Wrightson and Platt have confirmed the baptism gift.
