Pippa Middleton is reportedly engaged to her longtime banker boyfriend Nico Jackson.
Jackson supposedly asked Middleton to marry him while they were vacationing at India’s Oberoi Amarvilas resort earlier this month, according to Us Weekly. The five-star resort, which boasts views of the Taj Mahal, was where Jackson reportedly wanted to pop the question to his event planner girlfriend.
"It was exactly how he planned it," one source told Us of the proposal. "Very romantic and grand!"
Middleton and Jackson were first rumored to be engaged back in September following a proposal at Wimbledon – reports that were later proved false. Since Middleton wasn’t wearing a ring at the time, it was speculated that the creative younger sister to the Duchess of Cambridge was in the process of designing her own ring.
The newly engaged pair have been dating for 15 months. Their wedding is expected to take place sometime in 2014. For now, Middleton and Jackson are enjoying the early days of their engagement in private, according to the insider, and will be spending Boxing Day (Dec. 26) at the Middleton home in Bucklebury.
Some believe that this latest engagement news for Middleton and Jackson is mere speculation – similar to the last time the rumors swirled of impending nuptials for the pair – including a source for the Daily Mail, who says that they’ve made a "pact" to travel the world before settling into married life.
