Piers Morgan Slams Ariana Grande For Not Visiting Manchester Terror Attack Victims

British television personality Piers Morgan, criticized singer Ariana Grande for not meeting with the victims of the terror attack in Manchester, England, which occurred after Grande’s concert earlier this week.

After singer Katy Perry tweeted, “God Bless The Queen and her kind heart,” in reference to the Queen’s visit to victims of the attack, Morgan responded, “Agreed. Might have been nice if @ArianaGrande had stayed to do the same.”

Morgan tweeted several other times about the subject, often retweeting and responding to those critical of his position.

“I wonder how @piersmorgan – the valiant, honourable and brave man, would have reacted in her situation,” on user tweeted. Morgan responded, “I can 100% guarantee you I would stay & visit those who had been killed or wounded watching me perform.”

The attack outside of the MEN Arena after Grande’s concert killed 22 people and injured at least 59 on Monday. Grande canceled the remaining shows of her tour and headed back to the US, while also reaching out to fans and victims on social media.

On Friday, Grande announced that she would perform a benefit concert in honor of those affected by the attack.

“I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families,” the 23-year-old singer’s statement read on Twitter.

In response to her lengthy and heartfelt message, Morgan tweeted, “Good move @ArianaGrande,” followed by several clapping hands emojis.

In an open letter circulating online, film producer Patrick Millsaps, wrote to Grande, “You don’t have a dadgum thing to apologize for … If the night before your concert, a tornado had hit Manchester and tragically killed several people who were going to go to your concert; would you feel the need to apologize?” Millsaps ends the letter by encouraging the singer to take care of herself and make the music her fans appreciate so much.

The date for Grande’s benefit concert has yet to be announced.
