Well, that didn't take very long. Despite her shocking elimination on Thursday night, former Idol hopeful Pia Toscano is close to signing her own record deal, Us reports. A source close to the singer tells the magazine that record executives are trying to get her debut album out "ASAP." The 22-year-old old New York native will be working with Idol mentor Jimmy Iovine under an Interscope Records imprint. Along with an album on the way, fans can get their Pia fix this summer when she hits the road with other season 10 finalists as part of the Idols LIVE! concert tour.
Off stage, Toscano was recently spotted with Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas, prompting rumors that the reality hopeful has found a new love interest. The two were put together through DWTS contestant Chris Jericho, and had dinner at Gulfstream in Los Angeles on Friday, E! reports. A record deal and a new boyfriend in the same week? Maybe winning Idol isn't all it's cracked up to be after all. –EMILY EXTON
