Although she's one of the biggest celebrities in the world and not a single gained pound goes unnoticed by the press, there may still be some things you don't know about Lady Gaga. For example, that she's dating The Vampire Diaries actor and surfer Taylor Kinney, 31, star of NBC's upcoming Chicago Fire (pictured below), since 2011 no less. "I don't think I've ever said anything publicly up till now," the notoriously private Kinney told USA Today of his relationship with Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, 26. "But I'm happy. I'm in a relationship, and I'm happy. Everything is great."
More things you might not know? Lady Gaga is an avid Top Chef watcher, thanks to Kinney, who has been a longtime fan. Having moved to Chicago to film his elite rescue squad drama, Kinney has taken the opportunity to tour the local restaurant scene, including several spots owned by former Top Chef contestants. "I got really into watching Top Chef for awhile and there's a couple of chefs from Top Chef Masters that have a place here," said Kinney, who was joined by Lady Gaga at Girl and the Goat, owned by Season 4 winner Stephanie Izard. But Kinney's favorite is the no-frills thin crust pizza at Pizano's, where he took his "Poker Face" love on a date in August.
While Lady Gaga has embraced her recent weight gain, what with all of this restaurant-hopping and romantic dates, Kinney reveals how he keeps his firefighter shape for the series. "I eat somewhat healthy most of the time," although he admits to indulging "like anybody else." Does he hit the gym? You bet. "I'll do some cardio stuff to sweat and get my blood going and then just some high-rep/low-weight dumbbell stuff. I don't have a certain regimen. If I can stay busy and put headphones on and hit it hard for 45 minutes, that's all I'm looking to do."
Chicago Fire, which also stars Australian hunk Jesse Spencer (House) and Monica Raymund (Lie To Me, Arbitrage), debuts on NBC on Oct. 10 at 10 p.m. ET. Watch the trailer here:
