PHOTOS: Keira Knightley Poses Topless, Talks Body Image

Keira Knightley, 27, is getting major kudos for her latest period film, a remake of Leo Tolstoy's masterpiece, Anna Karenina, directed by Atonement's Joe Wright, adapted by legendary playwright Tom Stoppard, and also starring Jude Law, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Matthew Macfadyen and Kelly Macdonald, but she's also getting a good deal of attention for her latest sexy photo shoot with Allure.

"I am quite rigorous about what gets exposed," Knightley admitted to the magazine about posing in the buff — or very near it — at least on top. "No bottom half! I don't mind exposing my tits because they're so small — people really aren't that interested!" she insisted.

While it's almost certain that many would disagree with Knightley's self-assessment, she went on to reveal that studios have put in some post-production time when it comes to images and promos of her bod. "They always pencil in my boobs," she said. "I was only angry when they were really droopy. For King Arthur, for a poster, they gave me these really strange droopy tits …. I thought, well, if you're going to make me fantasy breasts, at least make perky breasts."

While Knightley's free and open chatter reveals her comfort with her bod, she hasn't been immune in the past to critiques of her thin frame, which sometimes led to rumors that she had an eating disorder. "The anorexic stuff — all that — it's always going to have an impact, so I think it did hit pretty hard," she said. "Because you go, oh, maybe that's right! I knew I wasn't anorexic, but maybe my body is somehow not right. You kind of just want to hide it all."
