Lady Gaga finally set a release date for her much-anticipated third studio album, announcing on Twitter: "THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11." She posted the above photo along with the tweet, wearing a jacket with her album's title, Born This Way, emblazoned on the back.
The pop star will release her first song off the album on February 13, which coincides with the 53rd annual Grammy Awards ceremony. Lady Gaga is nominated for six awards, including Album of the Year (for The Fame Monster), Best Female Pop Vocal Performance (for "Bad Romance"), and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals (with Beyonce for "Telephone").
Gaga has posted several photos of herself in the studio working on the album on her Twitter account. She has confirmed that two of the tracks on the new album will be "Born This Way" and "You and I," which she debuted on Today in June. —ISHITA SINGH
