Phoenix Serial Killer Case: Suspect Shown In New Police Sketch

A new sketch of a suspect in the Phoenix serial shooter case was released on Thursday.

Phoenix Serial Killer Suspect Revealed In Sketch

Sgt. Jonathan Howard of the Phoenix Police Department described the suspect as a skinny Hispanic male under five feet, ten inches tall.

The police sketch is the latest update in the ongoing investigation into the man dubbed “the serial street shooter” — following new witness testimony.

Police said they have connected seven murders and the wounding of two people to a mysterious suspect — or possibly suspects — who shoots at his victims at night with a semi-automatic handgun.

“All of the witnesses have described that the suspect was outside of his car,” Howard said. “We have not found any link between any of the victims to each other or the shooter.”

The shootings began March 17, when a 16-year-old boy was reportedly shot and injured while walking on the street at 11:30 p.m. The next night a 21-year-old man was also shot.

Two people were killed in April and two more in June. The last shooting took place on June 12, when three people were shot and killed in front of a home around 3 a.m.

The shootings are located in the low-income neighborhood of Maryvale, with many of the victims targeted outside their homes, according to the Phoenix police.

“It’s unbelievable that there is this monster that has done so much harm, that nobody is coming forward,” a sister of one of the victims told CNN.

“We want the public to know that it will take a tip from them to stop this violence,” Howard declared.
