Phil Collins Sends Eviction Notice To Ex-Wife Orianne Cevey

Phil Collins has reportedly began the process of evicting his ex-wife Orianne Cevey from his Florida mansion after he alleged that she married another man in August while they were rekindling their relationship.

Collins, 69, and Cevey, 46, originally split in 2006, but got back together a decade later. During those ten years apart, Cevey, a jewelry designer, had married and divorced investment banker Charles Mejjati. Collins and Cevey’s divorce in 2008 set British records at the time with Cevey receiving £25 million ($46.68 million) from the “In The Air Tonight” singer.

In August, according to The Sun, Cevey married 31-year-old Thomas Bates at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas after telling Collins that she was going there for a business trip. TMZ reported through sources close to Collins that he asked his ex to leave his mansion and gave her until Friday to move out. Sources said Collins is prepared to begin an eviction lawsuit this week.

Cevey has reportedly changed the locks at the and threatened to release embarrassing details about him if he does not agree to renegotiate the terms of their 2008 divorce.

The couple share two sons Matthew, 15, and Nicholas, 19. In 2016 the couple said that their children were part of what brought them back together.

“But obviously when you have children, there’s two ways you can go. You can go the nasty way or you can go the nice way, and we always went the nice way … and we realized we missed each other,” the Genesis drummer said back in February 2016.

Another factor that may have connected them was their health struggles. In 2015, Cevey suffered from a slipped disk in her neck that left her partially temporarily paralyzed. Collins traveled to Switzerland to take care of their children, and in part his ex-wife.

“I realized that he is indeed the man of my life,” Cevey said at the time. Collins has also suffered from a myriad of health problems, including complications from back surgery that caused nerve damage and foot problems.

“I don’t know if I’ll ever be fit enough to play the drums again on tour,” Collins said in 2017. “My left arm has changed – it’s a neural thing. The back surgery I had was great – I mean, how good can surgery be? But it was problem-free. But then when I was recovering on crutches, I fell and fractured my foot. When I recovered from foot surgery, I fell again and fractured another part of the same foot. My right foot now is completely numb.”
