Pharrell joined Little Big Town onstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn., earlier this week to play their new track “C’mon.”
Pharrell took a seat at the drums for Little Big Town’s “C’Mon,” and even added to the harmonies. As it turns out, Pharrell, best known for his contribution to pop, hip-hop and R&B music, had a hand in helping Little Big Town create “C’mon,” which will appear on the country group’s new “project,” Wanderlust – the end result of working with Pharrell.
“What started out as one writing session a few months ago turned into multiple writing sessions, as well as back and forth trips from Nashville to Los Angeles,” Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild said in a press release. “Pharrell loves country music and is a huge fan of harmony. That shared passion and appreciation took us on a creative journey we had no idea would happen. The music feels like our worlds have collided in the best possible way — his infectious grooves paired with our layered vocals and harmonies.”
Pharrell also performed with Little Big Town at the 2016 CMT Music awards held at the Bridgestone Arena Wednesday night.
Wanderlust will be available this Friday.
