On Monday, the person operating the Star Wars actor’s Twitter thanked all those who had reached out to wish him a speedy recovery – which included Austin Powers actor Verne Troyer.
Mayhew, who appeared in the original Star Wars trilogy, is reprising the part of Chewbacca for the forthcoming Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. He’s joined in the installment by fellow originals Harrison Ford, Mark Hamilton and Carrie Fisher.
