Pete Davidson gave fans a look at his tattoo removal process as he showed off his nearly tattoo-free arms during an appearance on Saturday Night Live.

One year after hosting SNL, Davidson, 30, made a surprise return, flaunting his almost-bare arms in a white t-shirt after undergoing a nearly complete ink removal process.

While some designs remain intact, it was a big switch-up from his usual look.

Not only did the comedian reveal his faded arms, but he also showcased a buzz cut hairstyle.

Over the weekend, the actor made a cameo in a sketch alongside his friend and host John Mulaney, along with former co-stars, Keenan Thompson, Bowen Yang, Ego Nwodim and Andrew Dismukes.

The skit consisted of Davidson and Dismukes playing two men who purchased odd items at the Duane Reade convenience store inside the New York Port Authority bus terminal.

The rest of the cast went on to poke fun at Davidson in a variety of musical performances.

For the comedian, the appearance marked a rare public outing after he decided to take some time out of the spotlight.

Before SNL, Davidson was most recently seen out-and-about with Machine Gun Kelly in Los Angeles on Oct. 23, debuting his tattoo-removal progress.

Davidson started removing his tattoos three years ago as he began to take acting roles more seriously. As he previously noted, he often found himself spending up to three hours getting them covered up while on set.

“For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much,” he explained in a 2021 interview.

The actor admitted that getting his ink removed is a rather lengthy, painful process.

“Burning them off is worse than getting them, because not only are they burning off your skin, but you’re wearing these big goggles, right? So you can’t see anything, and the doctor’s in there with you,” Davidson revealed at the time.
