Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson talked about rehab treatment for his ketamine addiction during a recent standup show with John Mulaney and Jon Stewart in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Davidson joked that this was the seventh time he was in rehab.

“I am fresh out of rehab everyone. I got that post-rehab glow. Seventh time’s the charm!” Davidson said at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ettes Arena.

Davidson dove into more about his ketamine addiction and how he took it for four years, describing the drug as “magical,” and recalled being high off the drug while attending the funeral of Aretha Franklin.

With Davidson turning 30 in November, he then said his age inspired him to seek help and quit.

“[You] can’t do drugs in your 30s. It’s not cute anymore… you’re just a drug addict,” he added.

In June, Davidson checked himself into a rehab facility while receiving inpatient therapy for a variety of mental health struggles. Davidson reportedly often checks into rehab to work on his mental health struggles.

Mulaney, who took the stage after Davidson, did a stint in rehab in December 2020 after a sobriety relapse. In addition to touring with Mulaney and Stewart, Davidson will also perform a handful of solo shows from September 5 to October 21.
