On Monday, Gossip Girl alum Penn Badgley, 30, quietly married his girlfriend, Domino Kirke, 29, at a Brooklyn courthouse. They two tied the knot in the simple ceremony after two and a half years of dating.
Kirke, an English-American singer of Iraqi-Jewish heritage, was born in London in 1987, and started singing from the age of nine. She is the sister of actresses Lola Kirke, known for her role in Gone Girls, and Jemima Kirke, who stars in Girls.
The newlyweds shared their happy news on social media through Instagram, with a mesmerizing photo of the the couple, followed by the simple caption: “Married.”
Domino’s sister Lola also shared the happy news on Instagram, with the message: “When someone gets married in a courthouse, it’s really an open invitation to everyone but the beautiful bride to explore all that fashion has to offer. Here, I try a look simply called “Pants,” as Cassius goes for “That Dude from #incubus” and Jemima experiments with “Off to Therapy!” Congratulations @dominokirke. We love you.”
Jemima also celebrated the news, albeit in a less formal way, tweeting: “Congratulations ya shitheads! @PennBadgley and @DominoKirke it’s all downhill from here. In a good way!”
Badgley played Dan Humphrey on Gossip Girl, an angsty recluse who was also known as “Lonely Boy.” Prior to Domino, Badgley had been involved with GG costar Blake Lively, and actress Zoe Kravitz. Domino herself has a child from a previous relationship. After this ceremony, it looks like neither of them will be lonely anymore.
