Penélope Cruz made her reappearance at the Academy Awards as a nominee for Best Actress in a leading role. The Chanel ambassador stepped on the red carpet promoting her brand by wearing a Chanel halter ball gown, with buttons trailing down the front and a metallic bow at the neck.
This was the actress’s fourth Oscar nomination. This year, she was recognized for her performance in Parallel Mothers, Spanish film director Pedro Almodóvar‘s latest hit. Her first Oscar Best Actress nomination was for another Almodóvar’s film in 2006, Volver. She took her first award back in 2008 for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
