Last week, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling showed her support for the anti-trans ruling by the U.K. Supreme Court. The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal is one of the many actors furious at her for her views.

Pascal is an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ community. He participates in events that support LGBTQ people and even supports his sister, Lux Pascal, who came out as transgender in 2021. The actor recently shared an Instagram video comment criticizing Rowling for celebrating the U.K. Supreme Court’s April 16 ruling that transgender women are not recognized as women under Britain’s Equality Act.

The cast of the original Harry Potter series has supported the transgender community after Rowling’s comments.

The U.K. Supreme Court stated that the rule brought clarity and confidence for women and service providers.

Activist Tarig Ra’ouf called for the boycott of Harry Potter-related projects. The author financially backed the campaign group for Women Scotland, which brought the legal challenges to court.

Pascal commented, “Awful disgusting s— is right, heinous loser behavior,” on Rowling’s post on X.

Rowling is pictured cheering on the ruling with a cigar and drink in hand; under the picture is, “I love it when a plan comes together.”

Pascal recently doubled down on his advocacy after being seen wearing a white T-shirt with the message, “Protect the dolls.” The shirt is part of the campaign led by designer Conner Ives, who created the clothing to bring attention to global anti-transgender sentiments.
