Pauley Perrette Speaks Out About “Multiple Physical Assaults” After Departing ‘NCIS’
In a series of tweets on late Saturday into Sunday morning, Pauley Perrette, best known for her fifteen seasons on NCIS, alleged that she has been the victim of “Multiple Physical Assaults.”
I refused to go low, that's why I've never told publicly what happened. But there are tabloid articles out there that are telling total lies about me. If you believe them? Please leave me alone. You clearly don't know me. (Sorry guys, had to be said)

Maybe I'm wrong for not "spilling the beans" Telling the story, THE TRUTH. I feel I have to protect my crew, jobs and so many people. But at what cost? I.don't know. Just know, I'm trying to do the right thing, but maybe silence isn't the right thing about crime. I'm… Just… ?

There is a "machine' keeping me silent, and feeding FALSE stories about me. A very rich, very powerful publicity "machine". No morals, no obligation to truth, and I'm just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew. Trying to remain calm. He did it.

I've been supporting ant-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME! If it's school or work, that you're required to go to? It's horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone.

Perrette has been a fan favorite on NCIS for her portrayal of goth-style, pigtail-sporting forensic scientist Abby Sciuto. She has been on the show since the beginning, but she will not be returning for the upcoming sixteenth season. Her final episode aired on May 8.
Perrette did not specifically mention if her attacker or attackers were NCIS colleagues or if any of the attacks occurred on the NCIS set, but it would not be surprising if that is confirmed to be the case, considering the timing and her reference to protecting her “crew, jobs and so many people.”
As for the reference to false tabloid rumors, Perrette had tweeted out a statement in October that mentioned that she does not have a skin care line and that her network and show are not mad at her.
So it is true that I am leaving NCIS…
There have been all kinds of false rumors as to why (NO I DON'T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE… pic.twitter.com/gugM2a2ckT— Pauley Perrette (@PauleyP) October 4, 2017
This is just the latest (and probably not the last) victim of an alleged assault to speak out publicly in the wake of the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements, nor is it the first time that Perrette has spoken out about past abuse. She was granted a restraining order against her ex-husband Coyote Shivers after she left him, and she was assaulted by a man outside her home in 2015.
