Pauley Perrette, 48, is saying goodbye to NCIS after starring as Abby Sciuto for 15 seasons.
Perrette began on the show in 2003 and announced Wednesday that she is leaving following the procedural’s upcoming 15th season. “So, it is true that I am leaving NCIS after this season,” she wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. “There have been all kinds of false stories as to why. It was a decision made last year. I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season, but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years. All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration… I love her as much as you do.” She also added that the “network and show are not mad” at her.
After Perrette departs, only two original NCIS characters will remain on the show, including Mark Harmon. Cote de Pablo left the show in 2013 and Michael Weatherly in 2016.
NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on CBS.
