Paul Walker Death Update: Porsche Carrera GT Was Traveling Over 100mph At Time Of Crash

When Paul Walker was sitting in the passenger seat of the Porsche Carrera GT driven by his close friend and business partner Roger Rodas, it had reached a speed of 100mph before it crashed into a tree, ending both of their lives.

On Friday, the Los Angeles coroner's report that was released was the first to offer details on the fatal crash, reported CNN. The report also noted that no malfunction with the car could be identified as a contributing cause of the accident.

Although speed was clearly a factor in the Nov. 30 wreck, it's still unknown why Rodas lost control of the vehicle.

When Rodas lost control of the Porsche, it spun, causing its driver side to smash into a curb. It then hit a tree and a light pole before spinning 180 degrees, hitting another tree and bursting into flames.

Previously, Walker's cause of death was stated in his autopsy report as the “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries." In the most recent report, the Fast and Furious star is said to have died from "severe blunt head, neck and chest trauma." Upon the recovery of his body, Walker was burnt beyond recognition.

At the time of his tragic death, Walker was in the midst of filming Fast and Furious 7. Production was indefinitely suspended, but will soon continue. Walker's scenes will remain in the feature film, slated to hit theaters in spring 2015.
