Wonder Woman 1984 will be receiving a sequel in the near future with Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot attached to the project. Having already directed the first two Wonder Woman movies, this will be the third time that Jenkins will take the helm as director for the DC Extended Universe. The third Wonder Woman movie also be the fifth time in which Gadot appears as the title character, after previously appearing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, Justice League and Wonder Woman 1984.

Very little information has been released on the third Wonder Woman film. Many fans are already speculating that the third movie will take place in modern times due to the previous two films taking place during World War I and then in 1984. There has also been a moderately sized debate on who the main antagonist will be in the sequel, with classic Wonder Woman villains being called out like Circe, Giganta and Doctor Psycho.

However, some fans are upset at Jenkins serving as the director once again due to their disappointment with Wonder Woman 1984. There have even been people on social media who are calling Jenkins a bad director simply because they did not like the second Wonder Woman movie. However, DC and Warner Bros. already seem to have made up their minds when it comes to hiring Jenkins, as Wonder Woman 1984 apparently exceeded their expectations.

Despite heavy criticism of Wonder Woman 1984, it was still a financial hit with hundreds of thousands of people watching the movie on HBO Max.
