Patti LaBelle pushed a fan who had proceeded to strip on stage in front of her audience.

PATTI LABELLE KICKS FAN OFF STAGE

During LaBelle’s concert in Vancouver Friday night, the singer invited several audience members to join her on stage for a dance while she performed “Lady Marmalade.”

When one of the people invited onto the stage began stripping LaBelle immediately stopped him and scolded him. “Hold up!” she said into the microphone, motioning for the band to stop playing. The man whose turn it was to dance had already unbuttoned his shirt when LaBelle noticed him. “Don’t you dare. Not on my stage,” she said to him, pausing the show. “Did I say I was 71 years young, right? I am not Nicki Minaj or that little, uh, Miley.”

LaBelle was distracted when the man then began to pose provocatively, causing LaBelle to lose her temper, and run into him and push him, yelling, “get off of my goddern stage b—h. And stay off. Put him out of the building. Put him out. How dare you.”

Later, LaBelle apologized to the audience, stating that she wanted to give the man a chance to leave the stage gracefully, and that she should have let her security people handle the situation. She also joked that her quick temper was unavoidable due to her being a Gemini. “I’m so sorry you heard me say a bad word. I’m so sorry. I’m a Gemini and things come out of my mouth sometimes that I try to control.”

The event was captured on video by TMZ.
