In a brief video posted a Twitter, an NFL fan was heard yelling using a homophobic slur at Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes‘ brother Jackson Mahomes in Denver on Sunday.
Mahomes is seen in the video taking a photo of his brother’s fiancée Brittany Matthews on the field during the pregame before the Chiefs/Broncos match, and the person filming shouts out, “Hey Mah*mo!” multiple times. Matthews was heard defending Mahomes at the end of the video, saying “that’s rude,” before they walk away.
It’s unclear whether there were any other incidents involving this fan during the rest of the game. The Chiefs went on to come back from behind during the game and eventually beat the Denver Broncos 28-24.
