Patrick J. Adams Apologizes For Sharing ‘Suits’ Photos With Meghan Markle Amid Actors Strike

Actor Patrick J. Adams took to social media to apologize for sharing throwback photos during his time with Suits amid the SAG-AFTRA strike.

The actor, who played the lead role of Michael Ross, posted several photos during his time on the show. Several of his co-stars, including Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman, were featured in the photos.

His post broke SAG-AFTRA rules, as actors are not allowed to take part in promotional work for film and television. This includes directly or indirectly talking about past projects. Adams then deleted the posts and posted an apology on his Instagram stories.

“The last couple of days I foolishly and thoughtlessly let a trip down Suits memory lane distract me from the very real and ongoing fight everyone in @sagaftra continues to wage in its effort to win our membership realistic 21st Century compensation and protections,” he said.

SAG-AFTRA members have been on strike since July 14, after failed contract negotiations between the union and studios, and streamers.

It was going concurrently with the WGA strike, which recently struck a deal with the Hollywood studios.

In recent months, Suits has made a resurgence in popularity after it was added to Netflix. The show follows Adam’s character, Mike Ross, a college dropout who finds himself working with Harvey Specter. The show ran for a total of nine seasons, with all seasons on Peacock and the first eight seasons on Netflix.
