Paris Jackson, who is the daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson, has been nearly inseparable from her new boyfriend Michael Snoddy.
Jackson began dating Snoddy earlier this years after meeting a group therapy meeting, according to Heavy. The two became a serious item right at the start and have rarely been out of each other’s sights.
“It’s only been a couple of weeks, but they are together a lot,” an insider told PageSix. “They really like each other. It’s a real relationship, and things are moving fast.”
Snoddy, 26, is a drummer with the heavy metal band Street Drum Corps, which has toured with the lines of Linkin Park and Thirty Seconds to Mars. In addition to playing heavy metal, Snoddy is also a big fan of the genre, and got a tattoo that seemed to represent band Pantera’s album Cowboys From Hell. The tattoo, incidentally, features a Confederate flag.
Jackson’s family was more than peeved upon getting wind of the ink, believing it could mean that the musician is racist. He defended himself on Instagram claiming, “There’s a difference between Southern pride and racism.”
In another effort to defend himself, he pointed to his girlfriend. “I wouldn’t be dating a Black girl if I were a racist,” Snoddy told TMZ.
Before dating Snoddy, Jackson had been dating soccer player Chester Castelaw for a year.
