Paris Jackson
Paris Jackson has been cast in Lee Daniels‘ television series Star, a spin-off of Fox’s Empire.
Jackson has already taken up modeling but says she has wanted to go into acting, and has been taking acting classes for years. It is unknown what her role will be or how big, but the 18-year-old is already filming in Atlanta.
She and Daniels posted a photo together on Instagram with the caption, “#whenpariscomestoyou …talking talking talking.” This year is getting bigger and bigger for Jackson, who signed a modeling contract with Chanel while in Paris earlier in January.
Following this, Rolling Stone did a huge interview with the King of Pop’s daughter, her first real expo. She admitted to attempting suicide multiple times and spoke about her relationships with her father, mother and boyfriend Michael Snoddy.
The teen says she’s always had self-esteem issues that are rooted in the sexual assault she endured when she was 14 by a “complete stranger.” “Plenty of people think I’m ugly, and plenty of people don’t,” she told the interviewer. “But there’s a moment when I’m modeling where I forget about my self-esteem issues and focus on what the photographer’s telling me — and I feel pretty. And in that sense, it’s selfish.”
Star premiered on Dec. 14, 2016 and was approved for a 13-episode first season. It follows three talented young singers who try to navigate their road to success in Atlanta. Star airs on Fox, Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
