Paris Hilton Detained In France

Paris Hilton, 29, was briefly detained in a French airport Friday after she was reportedly found with less than a gram of marijuana in her purse. She was held and released without charge.

The socialite was en route to Italy on her private jet plane, but stopped at Firagi airport on the French island of Corsica before she ran into trouble with local authorities. To address arrest rumors, Hilton took to her Twitter account. "The stories saying I have been arrested are completely false!" she posted on Saturday. "I am having the best vacation of my life! What an amazing summer! I feel so blessed and grateful for everything. I Love Life!!"

Earlier this month, Hilton was entangled in a similar incident when South African police questioned her for pot possession during a World Cup match. She was also detained, but the case was dropped without charge, her rep adding that the situation was a "complete misunderstanding." –Natthakan Garunrangseewong
