Green and Paper Towns stars Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne have been building anticipation for the trailer release throughout the week. Wolff tweeted a new still from the film on Tuesday, followed by a trailer sneak peek that Delevingne posted to her Instagram Thursday.
Green, who also penned The Fault in our Stars, officially debuted the trailer on the Today show.
“It’s a story about all different kinds of love, not just romantic love, but also friendship and how special friendships can be when you’re in high school,” Green explained on Today. “It’s much funnier than The Fault in Our Stars, which had some sad parts.”
In Paper Towns, Wolff plays a high schooler named Quentin who is helplessly in love with his neighbor Margo Roth Spiegelman. After a night of mischief-making, Margo goes missing, leading Q and his friends to go off on a mission to find her, following clues she left for him.
Paper Towns, directed by Jake Schreier, hits theaters July 24.
