Pamela Anderson ran in the New York City Marathon on Sunday, achieving a finish time of 5 hours and 41 minutes.
The former Baywatch star, 46, ran the 26.2 miles with her brother Gerry. By running the NYC marathon, which traces a course through all five boroughs, Anderson raised almost $76,000 for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization. The fund endeavors to build programs in the earthquake ravaged Caribbean nation that can help save lives of its citizens.
Following nearly six hours of pounding the pavement, Anderson shared a picture on Twitter of her post-marathon state. Lying in bed, the actress and activist has her marathon tag covering her face and two bags of ice on her legs. She also has a TV remote in her left hand and a book – unlikely to be read – on her lap. Anderson simply captioned the picture, “Ouch!”
Anderson also shared a picture of herself with her brother Gerry (above), and thanked him for joining her in taking on the marathon. “So proud of my brother Gerry,” Anderson tweeted. “Thank G. For running next to me today – love you lots.”
