Ozzy Osbourne Doesn’t Want To Move Back To UK Despite Comments About ‘Weird,’ ‘Dangerous’ America

Ozzy Osbourne has admitted that he doesn’t want to move back to England less than three months after revealing his plans to return.

“If I had my way, I’d stay in America,” the rockstar told Consequence. “I’m American now… to be honest with you, I don’t want to go back. F—k that.”

The Black Sabbath singer announced in August that he and his wife Sharon had plans to go back to the U.K. He said he was “fed up” with gun violence in America and called it a “very weird place to be.”

“God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings,” he told The Observer. “I don’t want to die in America.”

Sharon emphasized that California has become more dangerous since the 70s, saying she “doesn’t feel safe” anymore.

Ozzy, 73, added that their decision to move was also influenced by his wife’s departure from The Talk. The former talk show host was accused of being a racist for defending Piers Morgan’s statements about Meghan Markle.

“It broke her heart,” he said. “It was wrong what they did to her… Sharon was set up and it was wrong.”

The couple plans to document their move back home in a BBC reality show. The 10-part show, Home to Roost, will show how the celebrity family restarts their life back in Britain.

“Rejoining the Osbournes as they return to the U.K. is a once in a lifetime opportunity,” two of the BBC creative directors said in a statement. “Twenty years ago, they shaped television for all of us – now they’re coming home at a different stage in their lives but with the promise of the same laughter, love and tears.”
