Outkast is reuniting to headline Coachella 2014, as announced in the the music festival’s complete 2014 lineup.
Outkast, the hip hop duo Big Boi and Andre 3000, went their separate ways six years ago after releasing their last album, Idlewild in 2006. And they aren’t the only group getting back together for the six-day festival event. The Replacements are also set to reunite for Coachella.
Coachella, an annual outdoor music festival, attracts close to 80,000 people to Southern California for two weekends filled with music. This year the festival will span two weekends, Friday through Sunday – April 11-13 and April 18-20.
The complete lineup also includes Ellie Goulding, Arcade Fire, Muse, Skrillex, Pharell Williams, Beck, Lana Del Rey, Kid Cudi and new pop sensation Lorde.
No doubt the elite festival – tickets for a full weekend start at $375 – will also have some surprises. In 2012, Coachella grabbed the world’s attention when Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre performed with a hologram Tupac Shakur. And Coachella is known for attracting a huge Hollywood crowd, despite being held in Indio, Calif., a scorching hot desert.
