Scarlett Johansson, 32, arrived at the Oscars with a mystery man by her side. The actress, in attendance to present an award, recently split from her husband, Romain Dauriac – with whom she has a child.
With her hand void of a wedding ring, Johansson and her man made their way down the red carpet and into their seats without having to elaborate on the nature of their relationship – although Johansson did get into a slightly nasty exchange with Ryan Seacrest.
Her date turned out to be her long time agent, Joe Machota, who is also the head of Creative Artists Agency’s theater department.
Like any good red carpet date, Machota made way for Johansson and smiled and laughed when he was supposed to – as can be seen from the video above.
While it is possible the two are romantically involved, as Johansson’s agent, Mochota’s accompaniment to an awards show after his client’s recent split from her husband could constitute as a professional duty.
Dauriac and Johansson quietly got married in 2014, after their daughter, Rose Dorothy was born. Their separation already has proven to be slightly louder.
Those not interested in Johansson’s romantic life were otherwise excited to find that she was also seated next to her The Avengers co-star, Chris Evans.
