Osama Bin Laden Killed By U.S. Forces In Pakistan

U.S. forces killed Osama Bin Laden in mission led by the CIA in Pakistan. Around 11:30 p.m. ET, President Obama announced that he had authorized the mission that led to Bin Laden's death. His body is in the possession of the U.S. military.

After a nearly 10-year manhunt, intelligence sources located Bin Laden, the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that killed 3,000 people in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania in Pakistan. Former U.S. Presidents Bush and Clinton issued statements congratulating the military and President Obama.
