Samira Wiley, an actress who stars on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black, is dating Lauren Morelli, a writer for the show who recently filed for divorce from her husband.

Wiley, who plays Poussey on the hit series, and Morelli went public with their relationship over Emmy weekend after the latter decided to file for divorce from her husband Steve Balisone. The divorce, which came as a result of Morelli realizing she is gay while working on Orange is the New Black, is reportedly amicable, according to TMZ.

Morelli penned an essay back in May in which she revealed that she was forced to evaluate her own sexuality while writing same-sex storylines on Orange. In the end, the writer realized that she’s a lesbian. She also revealed that she’d fallen in love on the Orange set, though until recently Morelli did not acknowledge with whom she had fallen in love.

“I realized I was gay in fall 2012, one of my first days on the set. It wasn’t so much one thing, but the sum of many small details: how uncomfortable I felt around groups of lesbians or how I considered myself (shrug) a ‘not very sexual person,’” Morelli wrote in the essay for Mic. “When considered alone, these seemed like little quirks that made me me. Wanting to read a book instead of have sex is a perfectly reasonable preference to have, right?"

“I went through it all on set,” Morelli added letter, referring to the process of coming to terms with her sexuality. “I fell in love with a woman, and I watched my life play out on screen.”

While neither Morelli nor Wiley have made a point of declaring that they’re a couple, the two have posted pictures on Instagram over the last few months that have pointed to a relationship.

Orange is the New Black’s second season became available on Netflix back in June. Season three, which is currently filming and will feature Wiley as a series regular, will hit the streaming network in 2015.
