Oprah Winfrey Receives Sign From God To Run For President On ‘The Late Show’

On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Oprah Winfrey got a sign from God to run for president.

When “Oprah for President” began trending after her speech at the Golden Globes, Oprah had to announce that she didn’t have any plans to run for president. The former talk show host said in an interview that she needed to have a “clear” sign from God in order to run for president.

Colbert gave her a sign on his show.

He had “God’ speak to her on an overhead projection.

“I’m a big fan of yours too God,” Oprah said. Going along with the bit, Colbert asked, “Is there something you’d like to tell Oprah?”

“Oh yeah. I hear thou seeketh a sign? Well is this clear enough?” God asks while holding up a sign that says “RUN!”

After composing herself from the laughter, Oprah said that “running” is now part of her exercise routine. Trying to make his point clearer, God disappeared for a second to reappear covered in Oprah 2020 apparel shouting, “Oprah Winfrey 2020! Yes she can!”

“There it is Oprah,” Colbert said, “A big endorsement.”

“God, take it from me, Oprah. It’s gonna be okay, everything gonna be okay,” she continued. “And I’s sure you’re gonna find someone that you are just inspired by in 2020.”

The God asked if he can get the Bible in her bookclub. “I’ll work on that!” she said.
