Oprah Winfrey, Ava DuVernay and other celebrities responded to the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, on Twitter, expressing their grief and sadness at her tragic death.
Bobbi Kristina Brown died on Sunday, July 26, at the age of 22 after being in a coma for nearly seven months. News of her death was announced late Sunday night, and celebrities ranging from Oprah to Kylie Jenner have taken to Twitter to share their reactions. Oprah tweeted a simple, “Peace at Last! #BobbiKristina.”
Many who reached out also expressed their hope that Bobbi Kristina was now reunited with her mother, Whitney Houston, who died in February of 2012.
Most of Bobbi Kristina’s family has yet to speak publicly on Bobbi Kristina’s tragic death. Her mother’s cousin, Dionne Warwick, however, spoke about Bobbi Kristina hours after her death during an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. After opening the show, host Andy Cohen, thanked Warwick for honoring her commitment to the show, and gave her the floor to pay tribute to Bobbi Kristina.
“Oh my, do we have enough time? She was a sweetheart. She will be missed, that’s for sure. And she was a good girl. She was a good little girl. She really was,” Warwick said.
