Oprah Sparks Ozempic-Use Rumors With Slimmed-Down Figure At ‘The Color Purple’ Premiere

On Wednesday, fans were treated to a star-studded event as the premiere of The Color Purple in Los Angeles.

The movie, an adaptation of Alice Walker’s novel and the Broadway musical it inspired, presents a fresh perspective on the beloved classic and explores the remarkable bond shared by three women and the power of their unbreakable sisterhood.

In her feature film debut, Fantasia Barrino takes on the role of Celie, while Danielle Brooks, also making her first appearance in a movie, portrays Sofia, a character originally portrayed by Oprah Winfrey in the 1985 Steven Spielberg film adaptation.

Winfrey posed on the red carpet with Spielberg. Many fans noticed her remarkably slimmed-down figure and wondered whether she was taking the weight-loss drug Ozempic.

The Color Purple is a literary work that chronicles the hardships and eventual triumph of Celie, a young African-American girl who grows up in a secluded rural area of Georgia. Throughout the story, Celie learns to defy the oppressive self-perception imposed on her by external forces. She shares her life experiences and innermost thoughts through candid letters addressed to God, which serve as a form of narration in the novel.

This time, Winfrey served as a producer of the film and was present on the red carpet at the Academy Museum for the premiere. The event was graced by a host of renowned celebrities, which includes Taraji P. Henson, Halle Bailey, Corey Hawkins, David Alan Grier, Colman Domingo, H.E.R., Ciara and Deon Cole, all members of the stellar cast.
