Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth
One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson has confirmed he is father to a baby boy with his ex-girlfriend, Briana Jungwirth. The singer took to Twitter to confirm the birth: “I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday 🙂 ? He is healthy and pretty amazing 🙂 I’m very happy!!”
The new mother and father welcomed their son into the world in Los Angeles. Minutes after his first tweet the excited new dad posted the lyrics to Boney M.’s 1976 popular hit ‘Daddy Cool’ and wrote: “Daddy Daddy cool” and soon after, followed it up with a string of smiley emojis.
Neither the name nor pictures have been released yet. Fellow band mate, Harry Styles tweeted, “Flowers all round.”
The Twitterverse also exploded with congratulations to the singer. Within minutes of Tomlinson’s tweet, #WelcomeBabyTomlinson was trending and fans worldwide offered their congratulations to the One Direction star. The news broke when a One Direction fan account wrote that Briana’s grandmother had confirmed the news, and had also revealed the baby was a boy.
Tomlinson’s ex stepfather, Mark Tomlinson, also confirmed the birth when he tweeted, “Is that the patter of tiny feet?”
Other confirmation came from a relative of Briana from Instagram. The relative, Marianna Case, congratulated the pair on the new arrival, reading: “Louis just let Ur heart dance. U now have another you. A gift that will want to be just like YOU.”
